Day 9: Rainbow Nails (31-Day Nail Art Challenge)

The challenge for today is all about rainbow, yes all 7 colors of the rainbow. There's a lot of techniques in doing this challenge. I've been looking up online for ideas. I have decided to do Chalkboard Nails tutorial about Watercolor Nails. Here are the polishes that I used:
Base color - Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On
Rainbow Colors:
1. Essie Russian Roulette
2. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed
3. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow
4. Zoya Holly
5. China Glaze Hanging in the Balance
6. China Glaze First Mate
7. Icing by Claire Exotic Orchid
I have already used all this polishes in the previous challenges except for the 2 China Glaze polishes.
So I started with 2 coats of White On and then applied 2 coats of Poshe top coat. When it was completely dry, I started with the first color. I put just a tiny drop of the red polish on each of my nails. Then with a brush dipped in acetone, I started smearing the polish to create a watercolor effect. I worked with one polish color at a time so that the brush is easier to clean and the colors will not mix up. Here's the outcome:

After putting all 7 colors, I put top coat once more. I also cleaned my cuticle area because the watercolor process can be a bit messy too. I honestly think that my outcome is not that attractive because there's a lot of colors involved. I think that this technique will work best if you only use 3 polishes. Well anyway, at least I was able to use all rainbow colors in this challenge, right?
I'll see you on Day 10!
