Day 18: Half Moon (31-Day Nail Art Challenge)

Half moon manicure is not a new nail art trend. In fact it used to be just bare nail bed on the "moon" part and one shade of polish for the rest of the nail bed. For modern half moon manicure, it is best done using 2 contrasting colors. This will make both colors stand out. Others also use a combination of glitter polish and crème polish.

For today's challenge, I used 2 China Glaze polishes. For my base color, I used 2 coats of China Glaze Swing Baby. I already used this polish in my Day 8: Metallic Nails Challenge. I used 2 coats of China Glaze Rich & Famous on top of it. It's the perfect pink polish for me. It is not to pale and not too bright. Although, layering it with Swing Baby made it look a litter darker. I've tried using it just by itself and it never fails to make me happy everytime I use it.

I used stencils in achieving this design.  The combination of metallic and crème polishes makes this Half Moon manicure glamorous.

Day 5: Blue Nails (31-Day Nail Art Challenge)

It's day 5!!! Today I decided to do a little change on my previous entries as I have been doing just swatches. For Blue Nails, I used Zoya Breezie. It's a crème nail polish. This is 2 coats of Zoya Breezie:

I put a blue glitter polish on my ring finger as my accent nail. I used Icing by Claire Midnight at Times Square. This is a pretty  blue glitter with silver glitter. This is the outcome:
